Boss Wave was conceived in late 2012 when Seth McNitt mused to his brother that Boss Wave would be a great name for a band. Brotherman thought, actually, it might make a good name for the gaming website Seth kept prattling on about starting. Indeed. Not long after, Seth took the first baby steps towards such an endeavor and approached Chris Williams and Jake Kozelek about joining him in co-hosting The Boss Wave Podcast.
The inaugural episode hit the interwebs on February 11th, 2013 and each week (well, most weeks..) the Boss Wave crew serve up some gaming news, thoughts on what we’ve been playing and a little community feedback. Towards the end of that first summer Jake made the decision to leave the show due to school and work commitments. The Mighty Jake (i.e. Kozy Flannel) continues to be missed. Around that same time the guys were working on launching the bosswave.net as the companion and home of the podcast and added new a co-host Zach Thornton, contributing editor Matthew Bolzonello and “Master-of-the-Web” Robin Brown. Rob eventually joined the podcast crew while Matt and Zach have both since had to move on due to their own time constraints. Matty B and the great Z-Tizzle are forever Boss Wavers.
BossWave.net was launched on August 12th, 2013 with the intention of providing not only a home for the podcast, but a repository for additional gaming content.
