With Seth having gone AWOL Chris and Rob manage to convince the charismatic Canadian Foomoo (otherwise known as Fraser Moores) to jump aboard the good ship Boss Wave. They squeeze as much as possible out of a slow news week with Rock Band 4 and Apple watches on the menu, along with reviews for Hotline Miami 2 and Ori And The Blind Forest. Chris finds an article on games you can play in a night to drag things out even further. They finish up with what they’ve been playing including OlliOlli 2, Helldivers, Counterspy, Oddworld New and Tasty, Tales From Space – Mutant Blobs Attack, Roundabout, Super Mario 3D World and The Golf Club.
Heading into any new year we gamers tend to slaver over all the shiny new things just over the horizon and 2015 is no different. The year ahead promises everything from big new entries in AAA franchises to 8-bit indie darlings. Increasingly open digital distribution channels will continue to allow independents to self-fund and self-define the focus, scope and pricing of their latest and greatest.
On Episode #076 of the podcast we previewed the year ahead in games. Of course we touched on heavy hitters like Batman:Arkham Knight, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Rise of The Tomb Raider and Star Wars: Battlefront among others, but we also wanted to focus on some of the games we’re really into that might not be on everyone’s radar – but should be. We’ve got trailers, previews and let’s plays for each of the five games each of us highlighted in this week’s episode. Thanks for stopping by and let us know what you’re most looking forward to (anything we missed?) in the comments below.
